A for Apple, B for Ball, C for Cat…. S for Sex… Z for Zebra!

If you want to try something adventurous, speak little loudly the word ‘sex’ while out in public. The people with whom you are out will sink down in embarrassment and will behave as if they are not acquainted with you and you will get sharp glances from people around to make you feel that you have committed a crime and an act of indecency by bringing up that topic. Now try bragging loudly about your contacts whereby you are shielded against the red tapes if you happen to get your work done from a bureau. Look at the awe you bring to people’s faces for you. Perhaps people like and respect delusions more than reality. As if they are ashamed to the core by the fact how they were born. They look down upon the nature’s most divine and mystical thing and try to portray as if they know nothing and don’t approve of sex and that it’s some dirty mind’s imagination, to the extent that if you want to show that you are well-cultured create an infant’s innocence about this topic. I call this intentional oblivion. Sex is basic nature of man. There’s no stork to drop you to your parents door. It’s a pleasure which man is obsessed the most as well as is ashamed the most to discuss and admit openly. Happiness and pleasure are like water trapped in a dam; everybody doesn’t have the capacity to contain it.

Another place to witness humorous acts is Pharmacy. At times you encounter few patrons there who start with ordering cheap sundry items, keep looking around like an IB agent and just as he is alone at the counter orders his vital purchase- latex gears. Without inquiring about  different companies or varieties or even price of the product, within fractions of seconds he would keep it inside an opaque bag, pay and start walking away with his heart pounding and body stormed with heavy adrenaline rush. Confronting embarrassment is an act of bravery after all. Why distress one unnecessarily? Instead shopping condoms should make you puff out your chest; it undoubtedly reveals your commitment about giving a quality life to your family and at large aiding a nation like India control its population upsurge. Talking about same, this is a must witness scene- aura filled with discomfort: a young girl at ease rushing towards the pharmacy and with complete poise asking for condoms, inquiring about the options available, reading and comparing the information given on the boxes. Perhaps the course- Bachelor of Pharmacy should also include a subject on how to become svelte!

This must have happened perhaps to most people, a hot couple getting intimate- of course a scene from the movie you are watching with your mother and suddenly your mom unable to face the situation, praying it would get over soon, with a scorn on her face criticizes the media and the level of indecency they have gone to. Then the sputter would be directed on you for you were supposed to focus on your studies or in case for recreation you want to watch TV for a while there are many informative channels like Nat. Geo., Discovery, Animal Planet, History Channel, etc. broadcasted. One fine day you are genuinely watching a program about apes on Nat. Geo. and your mom happens to pass by doing some work. Here starts a real bumpy ride. The expositor is delivering the act in a vivid manner but to make things more perspicuous the zoomaniac cameraman is zooming in and out on the scene and using his videography skills at his best making the copulation conspicuous. Now the pressure vent goes beyond limit and you are being lashed out and ordered to go back to your books with a warning to remove Cable TV services from then on. A reaction meted out thinking you are being precocious even at the age when you are enfranchised (right to vote) by the government. It’s a biased approach towards knowledge which not only unmasks your discomfort but also shows your disrespect and hideosity towards nature.

Bump into the undergarment’s section in a departmental store and consciously and genuinely check over the products, either people there will come in attention position or give glances as you did a mistake by intruding their privacy and crossing the line of fire by entering the space selling unmentionables. Come on it’s just another piece of clothing!

Internet- one of the most important and efficient tool in imparting and sharing information. However, the noble intentions of internet are far from being appreciated instead the word for few has become synonymous to a medium dispensing gross material to a substantive juvenile audience and engendering wanton thought process in them. This is one common experience while you are using internet service- relatives would sneak peek on to the monitor to assure that you do not follow any matters of impropriety and often question as to what is it that makes you spend so much of your time on internet. Doubtlessly there are materials on internet which are not recommendable for audience of certain age group; however in conservative societies it is a powerful medium for juveniles to appease their curiosity and curiosity cannot be classified as either good or bad.

It’s a normal mind-set to classify everything as good or bad, however there cannot be something as good knowledge and bad knowledge, knowledge (or information) cannot be assigned any attributes. It is completely understandable and appreciable that these trends (in outlook) have been set since years with a concern that children and citizens behave responsibly and preclude growing perverse. The intentions are beyond scepticism, however in order that a person refrains from unrighteous acts it is wrong to portray the whole concept as ignominious. It’s a misconception that developing something as defamatory and unworthy to be communicated would keep in check people’s conscience. Instead it has created an impression in people’s mind that it is indecorous to talk about sex (for instance), which is like unnecessarily disrespecting an uncontroversial fact. There is nothing in nature to be ashamed of; the whole attitude towards these things has made them look vulgar and people’s behaviour reflects their approval to this.

It’s up to one’s discretion about how much to be open about few matters; however don’t misrepresent things when you cannot edify.
